Our Story

1983

The co-founders of Laflamme Aéro Inc., David and Enrick Laflamme, grew up in a world where helicopters hold a very important place. Their father Réjean, a brilliant inventor whose passion is aviation, rebuilt two (2) gyrocopters in the 70s and 80s, a McMulloch Super J-2 and an Air & Space 18A. He also built two (2) prototype helicopters from 1983 to 2002. He thus passed on his passion to his two sons, who decided to pursue their studies in the field of engineering.

2004

Enrick and David founded Laflamme Engineering Inc., a consulting engineering firm. Highly specialized in the field of composite materials, Laflamme Engineering Inc. aims to assist companies in the design of various factory equipment and certifies them.

2016

Laflamme Engineering Inc. becomes Laflamme Aero Inc. and starts the research and development of its LX300™, remotly piloted helicopter.

2018

Laflamme is conducting the first flights of the LX300™.

2021

New partnership with GDMS. Various improvements are being made to the LX300™. For example, the addition of a camera becomes possible, a new engine is used, and other features are added to the LX300™.

2024

Laflamme officially transitions from research to manufacturing. In the midst of manufacturing growth, it is reinventing its visual identity. The team is expanding to better respond to and serve the challenges of our society
